As part of your role as a Tax Assistant you will have hands on involvement in the preparation of tax returns for a wide range of clients. You will be supporting the Tax team on ad-hoc projects and contributing to the efficient running of the department. As part your own personal development on your journey, you will be undertaking research into tax enquiries on client affairs and ad-hoc assignments as they arise. You will also provide support on planning projects and research technical issues on advisory work such as asset/business sales, succession planning and tax residency issues. We want to ensure you are growing and learning constantly so you will be aiming to work towards dealing with more complex client queries (internal and external).

In terms of qualifications, we want to ensure we are offering the best service to our customers and the same goes for our people. As an Assistant we would expect you to have started studying our ATT and provide you with full study support towards completing your qualification. We will provide you with on the job training to build on your existing knowledge and give you the mentorship and further coaching as we support you all the way on your journey to becoming a qualified tax specialist in the future.

As part of your role as a Payroll Assistant you will ensure the accurate and timely delivery of client payrolls, undertake general administrative duties and work collaboratively within the payroll hub. As part of your role as Regional Operations Payroll Manager you will lead a team of Payrollers, with differing levels of experience, to ensure an efficient and professional service to your clients. You will collaborate with office partners/directors on payroll related issues and participate in internal office meetings.

You will be responsible for the overall performance of each staff member, ensuring appraisals and training are provided, as well as promoting clear communication within the team. You will manage the day to day workflow and distribution of client portfolios, ensuring all deadlines for BACS and 3rd party report uploads/payments are met.

We are looking for someone who has previous management experience of managing remote teams who hold an in depth knowledge of both private and public sector payrolls with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must have the ability to manually calculate a payroll and in depth understanding of processing payroll.

As a dynamic Tax Partner at Azets you will be managing a portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing the compliance and advisory process and leading a team of tax professionals.  You will manage the corporate tax team by hearing the voice of your team members, conduct appraisals, provide coaching of assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality and delivery of work.  As part of your own development you will establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings.

As you will be the mentor to a number of our tax team, previous Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is advantageous.  We are looking for someone with a strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation.  In terms of qualifications, we would be looking at CTA, and possibly ACA (or equivalent).  In the role of partner, it is expected that the successful candidate will not only be a work holder, but a proven work winner committed to growing their client portfolio and the office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a busy corporate tax team dealing with some of Scotland’s leading companies. This team is one of the largest and most experienced in the central belt of Scotland. With responsibility for an interesting and technically demanding portfolio of large and complex corporate clients, the role is primarily focused on corporate tax work with a heavy emphasis on working very closely with our Audit team; dealing with groups of companies, preparing tax accounting disclosures and notes to the accounts. A key part of the role will be advising on tax payments and clients affected by the quarterly instalments regime. A solid knowledge of Alphatax (or OneSource) is preferred however training will be provided and the candidate should have a strong accounting background.

Ideally, you will be currently working as a Corporate Tax Senior and looking to take the next step in your career or already working as an Assistant Corporate Tax Manager with an eagerness to join a modern firm. A desire and passion to develop your ad-hoc tax advisory skills will be actively encouraged and supported by management and your wider team. Knowledge and experience of the R&D tax credits scheme is advantageous. Following our Azets Reach competency framework there is a clear pathway for further development with this role.

Our corporate tax client base includes a broad range of different businesses, however you will be largely working on dynamic, fast growing organisations, private equity backed and corporate entities / complex audit clients up to circa £2O0M plus turnover. You will be working with clients from all industries, therefore exposure to multiple sectors would be a distinct advantage. In addition, experience of managing a portfolio of clients with confidence is essential. Your day to day responsibilities will include- assisting with the preparation of complex group tax returns on Alphatax Enterprise Edition and on occasions, reviewing work prepared by junior members, liaising with clients to resolve queries, communicating with internal departments to ensure deadlines are met, and overseeing client portfolios to ensure HMRC deadlines are met.

In terms of qualifications, we want to ensure we are offering the best service to our customers. An accountancy qualification such as ATT, CTA, CA or ACCA (or be partly qualified) are essential for this role. We will offer study support for further qualifications if this is required.

As a Tax Associate Director working across the North East region, the focus of your role will be on delivering tax advisory projects for a range of clients, including owner managed businesses and their shareholder’s private affairs. As part of your role as Corporate Finance Associate Director/Director you will bridge the gap between the Executives and the Senior Management team, by not only delivering the more complex reporting, but working with the more junior team members to provide guidance and support. As a dynamic Tax Director working for Azets you will be managing a portfolio of Owner Managed Businesses (OMB)/ SME clients supporting the Tax Partners closely to deliver tax advisory services. As part of your own development you will establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings.

You should be confident to offer advice to clients regarding business restructuring, succession planning, loan relationships, Corporate Groups and it would be an advantage (but not essential) to have some basic Corporate international experience

As you will be the mentor to a number of our family members, previous Corporate Tax, OMB/SME Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is advantageous. We are looking for someone with a strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation. As a valued Corporate/Mixed Tax Senior you be providing support to the Head of Tax, West Country on various tax advisory projects whilst being responsible for a number of client relationships, supporting them on a variety of compliance matters. The role requires someone who is responsible for complying with all internal risk management procedures.

As a Manager in our Audit department, you will manage a portfolio of audit clients alongside the preparation of accounts and corporation tax computations/returns for limited companies. You will be expected to provide a range of tax advisory and compliance services, focussing on a varied portfolio, from small sole traders to HNWI and OMBs but also working on ad hoc advisory projects. Our clients come from many different jurisdictions and prior exposure to private and ideally corporate clients, together with experience of dealing confidently and building strong relationships with both internal and external contacts, would be a distinct advantage. You will have strong project management skills to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines and excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and solve problems. As a Senior in our Audit department you will be heavily involved in the completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, normally on site at client premises. You will have the responsibility for the planning and completion of audit assignments, whilst ensuring audit files have appropriate and sufficient documentation. You will prepare statutory financial statements from client data and highlight high level risk areas or matters of concern to the Partner/Manager whilst using a significant degree of your own judgement. As your responsibilities continue to develop you will be planning the execution and finalisation of the audit assignments for Partner/Manager review.

As a valued Corporate Tax Partner within Azets, you will be responsible for a tax advisory team and for the delivery of bespoke tax planning work for business clients. Your work will include managing a portfolio of your own clients, overseeing the compliance process for clients within your local office base and guiding the day to day development of the business and local office team. You will work closely with a network of both regional and national Tax Partners to deliver tax advisory services and high level technical and bespoke guidance. The role provides an exciting variety of projects across a wide geography as you will support offices across the region in specialist advisory work. In this role, you will manage the tax team, by hearing the voice of your team members, conduct appraisals, provide coaching of assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality and delivery of work. As part of your own development, you will establish strong working relationships with not only an existing client base but be given the opportunity to build your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings.

As you will be the mentor to a number of our family members, previous Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment is advantageous. We are looking for someone with a strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation. In terms of qualifications we would ideally be looking at a CTA (and possibly ACA or equivalent) qualified Tax specialist.
