In 2012, every employer in the UK was required to offer a workplace pension scheme by law. Employers must now offer eligible workers a workplace pension, automatically enrol every eligible worker within six weeks of their start date and make a minimum contribution to that scheme (3% for employers, 5% for employees).
The legislation applies whatever your size or industry, and failure to comply by your duty start date - the date automatic enrolment kicks in for your company - can incur severe penalties and fines. But many companies find auto enrolment a major administrative burden and don’t have the staff or skills to dedicate to getting it right.

If you have already set up a qualifying pension scheme with another pension provider, but have not yet filed your declaration of compliance, we can also take care of this process for you for a one-off charge of £200+VAT per company.
If you are a company with just one director and no other employees, you’re exempt from auto enrolment - but you still have a responsibility to inform The Pensions Regulator of your exemption.
If there is more than one director in the company, then each director will need to be assessed separately. And if the company takes on employees in the future who are classed as workers then a qualifying auto enrolment scheme will need to be in place.
