Holsworthy is a small historic market town in the Torridge district of Devon. The River Deer, a tributary of the River Tamar, forms the western boundary of the parish. Holsworthy has one of the largest livestock markets in South West England. The annual Holsworthy and Stratton Agricultural Show is an important event for the town and the local farming community, in addition to the annual St Peter’s Fair.
