Ruth joined the Azets team in September 2023, after working at a local firm as a Tax Department Manager and Tax Advisor.
Ruth started her career as a Tax Trainee in Bishop Fleming and has since completed both the ATT and CTA qualifications.
She is grateful for having a mixed tax background, providing holistic advice to predominantly owner managed businesses.
On the business side, Ruth has been involved in a number of large projects to include restructures, succession plans, share schemes and research and development claims. Starting her career within a Private Client team, she has continued working with individuals to ensure that their wealth is protected, and tax burden minimised where possible.
Personally, Ruth has a keen interest in property and so does enjoy reducing client's SDLT exposure through the application of reliefs.
Outside of tax, Ruth enjoys being as active as possible and she is a member of local running club, Plymouth Musketeers.
