Martin leads the forensic accounting practice in the Midlands which he established in March 2019. He has specialised in forensic accountancy since 2005 when he was working at another top 10 accounting firm.
Martin has been involved in a variety of forensic and investigation assignments including: investigations into allegations of fraud and other financial irregularities; asset tracing; business interruption and loss of profit; commercial disputes; business valuations; insurance claims and disputes; and transaction disputes.
Martin has specific expertise in fraud and investigation work and has led and managed a number of cases which include ones that have been heard in both the Civil and Criminal Courts as well as cases which have involved disciplinary and human resource issues, regulatory issues and the improvement of internal controls and procedures. These investigations cover a wide range of clients in the public, private and professional services sectors.
Martin has routinely provided training to clients, solicitors, insurers and other legal professionals on accounting and investigation related matters in the UK.
Martin is a qualified chartered accountant. Prior to becoming a forensic accountant he was involved in a range of assurance and advisory assignments, including external audit, compliance and internal controls reviews, internal audit and due diligence assignments.
