Alison is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants who trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Manchester, before joining a firm of accountants in Bradford in 1998 and becoming a partner in 2000.
With a strong background in accounts, audit and general practice, Alison acts as trusted advisor for a wide range of entities. She looks after a broad client portfolio in the private sector, working with companies across a variety of sectors including manufacturing, engineering and service businesses.
Alison works closely with owner managers and directors to help them understand the impact of tax on their business and where there may be opportunities for efficiencies to be made. She is also well-versed in the complexities of corporate structuring for family and owner managed companies.
With a wealth of experience, she also advises solicitors, charities and other not for profit concerns ranging from national charities through to local community groups. Through her involvement with her charity clients, Alison recognises the issues surrounding organisations in the Third Sector of the economy in the current climate.
Alison specialises in compliance including audit and in particular has considerable experience in the planning and completion of large and complex audit assignments. Having previously managed an in-house department providing these services for a number of years, Alison’s expertise also extend to company secretarial matters from compliance to specialist work and advisory.
Alison is also a Past President and active member of the Rotary Club of Bradford Bronte.
