Alan, who has over 35 years of accounting and general practitioner experience established a firm of Chartered Accountants in Bradford known then as Wintersgill & Co back in 1986. A merger in 1992 ultimately created Naylor Wintersgill where Alan successfully led a growing team of accountants for a number of years before making a transition from day-to-day management of the firm to a more strategic role in 2012.

Alan has a wealth of experience and expertise in all aspects of accounting, audit and general financial matters. He continues to provide advice in all areas of corporate finance, including company sales and acquisitions, sourcing investment and funding alongside being well-versed in the complexities of corporate structuring for family and owner managed companies.

Alan holds a number of honorary and board positions in the local Bradford community including Chairman of Governors at Woodhouse Grove School, Chairman of the Development Board at Marie Curie Bradford Hospice and a Trustee of One in a Million.

He is a respected and well-recognised figure in the Bradford business community, both for his professional expertise supporting businesses in the UK, and also for the many community and educational organisations Alan has given his time and expertise to supporting. In 2014 Alan was awarded the British Empire Medal in the Queen’s Honours List for services to charity and the community of Bingley.
