Matthew is Head of Tax Services and is based at our Heathrow office. He has been a Partner since 2005 having previously been with a Top 10 practice.
Matthew specialises in business taxation with particular expertise in the tax aspects of reorganisations and reconstructions; mergers and acquisitions; employee remuneration and equity based rewards including share options, deferred share awards.
A large part of Matthew’s work revolves around transactions, he is particularly well versed in maximising Entrepreneurs’ Relief and making best use of other tax efficient regimes such as Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Employee Shareholder Status (ESS).
In an increasingly more complex tax environment, Matthew is adept at providing straightforward commercial solutions to business structuring and tax efficient planning.
Matthew’s client base consists of owner managed business, internationally owned companies and professional practices. His clients are from a broad range of sectors, including technology, property, logistics and legal practices.
In addition to his client work, Matthew is a regular speaker at internal and external seminars and conferences and a regular contributor to internal and external journals and publications.
