Paul specialises in internal audit services and will be based at the firm’s Cardiff office. Formerly Internal Audit Manager at Tata Steel Europe, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge from over 30 years in the industry.

With his professional knowledge, Paul’s appointment is fundamental to the long-term growth strategy.

Paul qualified in 1993 and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors – previous to his role at Tata Steel Europe, he spent 11 years as Director of a specialist Internal Audit Practice at BHBi Consultancy – the largest private sector accredited professional tuition provider of Internal Auditors.

He has extensive experience in public sector internal audit and was Head of Internal Audit at DARA Defence  Aviation Repair Agency within the Ministry of Defence, as well as in ECGD Export Credit within the Department of Trade & Industry. Furthermore, Paul has held several Non-Executive Director & Audit Committee positions, was a Director of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, and Past President of Barry Chamber of Trade. 

Paul will lead the internal audit services in Wales and the South West as well as becoming part of the senior leadership team in the area. His ambition lies in growing the regional presence of Azets as well as developing the growing client base.
