Holywell is a market town located in the north Wales county of Flintshire, west of the River Dee’s estuary. Known by people all over the world as a place of pilgrimage and home to one of the Seven Wonders of Wales, St Winefride’s Well, Holywell grew around the cotton milling and lead mining industries during the 18th century in addition to the copper production industry which saw many factories built in the Greenfield Valley.
