We are recruiting for an Accounts & Business Advisory Services Assistant Manager to join our busy team in Glasgow. In this position, you will be managing a varied client portfolio from a range of different sectors and will lead in day-to-day client contact. You will review annual accounts, corporation and personal tax computations, management accounts and P11d’s prepared by team members. You will be reporting directly to a Manager or Director on this work and will be involved in the detailed preparation for larger/complex clients requiring strong technical knowledge. In addition, you will pride yourself on strong communication skills that allow you to build solid working relationships with clients and your wider team. You will have the opportunity to line manage and mentor members of the team to develop your leadership experience.
For this position, we are looking for someone that is CA/ACCA qualified with experience working in an Accountancy Firm. You will be experienced in reviewing the work of junior staff and comfortable providing feedback where necessary. You will have a natural interest in mentorship/line management and be keen to develop these skills further. In addition, you will have the ability to co-ordinate and plan workloads to meet client demands, whilst considering team resource and abilities. Finally, you will have a problem-solving mind set and will be commercially aware to spot opportunities for business development or cross selling other service lines.
