The role

Azets wishes to recruit an assistant workshop technician to provide support to the field engineer and workshop team. Within the role you will be required to help the day to day running operations this will include configuration of devices, fault diagnostics, disposing of old IT kit and stock management.

Key accountabilities

  • Imaging of laptops, desktops and tablets
  • Identifying and resolving hardware related issues
  • Control of stock in and stock out ensuring everything is recorded
  • Oversee any equipment being repaired by warranty
  • Asset management of devices
  • Ensuring all tickets are updated with the relevant information
  • To keep the workspace tidy and clean
  • To assist the engineers when required with onsite work
  • Administrative duties to ensure the workshop is well run

Skills & experience

  • Previous experience within the IT industry is preferred but not essential
  • Self-starter with a "hands-on and flexible approach"
  • Basic knowledge of IT is required
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Works well within a team
