Thanzil is a Chartered Member of Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA) and has over 17 years’ experience working across a wide a range of sectors; mostly in the public sector, not-for-profit, government, commercial, smaller listed companies and financial services fields. His career began in Practice as a graduate trainee, and he has since excelled through the ranks to become Partner for Risk Assurance Service (RAS) covering London and the South region.
He is client-centric and has a track record of building strong relationships by influencing senior managers and non-executive directors for the implementation of sustained successful change and improvement in internal controls, governance and risk management.
Thanzil joined Azets in January 2021 to lead the internal audit team in London and to complement the recent growth of the service. Thanzil, who also holds a Fellowship with the Institute of Leadership and Management, ranks social value high on his priority list and is a mentor and a frequent visitor to schools and colleges across several Inner London boroughs with the aim of engaging and inspiring the future generation of talent.
Away from work Thanzil is a keen golfer and because he has an eye for detail, he also enjoys interior design using eclectic and feng shui design concepts.
