Ray is a corporate structuring specialist, and has led a number of complex corporate transactions over the years, including full listings (LSE and AIM), demergers and reorganisations. Ray heads up the corporate structuring specialist team in the Midlands; his work includes demergers, family investment company structures, M&A work, structured investments and acquisitions, and cross border tax planning.
Ray also has a property tax specialism, and has advised a large number of clients in the real estate sector, ranging from local property investors to national housebuilding companies. He has also held a number of non-executive positions in the drinks sector, and owns a wine company.
Ray joins us from Smith & Williamson where he spent 13 years working on corporate advisory projects, latterly being the firm’s restructuring specialist. Prior to that, Ray worked for PWC and also wrote the ACCA’s advanced tax paper for a number of years.
