Michelle has over 25 years’ experience in the accounting profession, having begun her career in a London based firm. She joined as a Partner in the Not for Profit group in 2006 and is Head of the firm’s Academy Group.
Michelle has devoted her career to working with a range of academies, charities and not for profit organisations, providing audit and compliance advice as well as specialist guidance on governance, strategic and policy issues. As Head of the Academies Group, Michelle is actively involved in the sector, helping schools that are converting to Academy status and providing continuous advice for those already converted; in addition, she provides governance training for governors and trustees.
Michelle’s many years in the sector have gained her numerous contacts with regulators and providers of services to academies and charities.
Michelle is a member of The Charity & Voluntary Sector Group of the ICAEW and the Charity Finance Group (CFG). She contributes to WK’s technical updates on matters affecting the sector and provides training courses on technical issues, both internally to staff and externally to the sector.
