James graduated from Strathclyde University with a first-class honours degree in accountancy and finance. Having joined Azets in 2003, James qualified as a chartered accountant with ICAS in 2006 and now has over 19 years of audit experience and is registered as a responsible individual (RI).
As an audit partner, James works with a diverse portfolio of clients covering a range of organisations across the commercial, housing and charity sectors. His client base includes a number of construction clients including Hub South East Scotland, Hub South West Scotland, Hub West Scotland and Hub North Scotland. Within his broader commercial portfolio, James advises a number of large and medium sized entities including Fraser Capital Management, FLEXcon Europe and MBM Print SCS. James is also currently the audit partner on 15 Registered Social Landlords including Cairn Housing Association, Shettleston Housing Association, Fyne Homes and Key Housing Association.
James is currently a member of our National Technical Group which ensures he keeps up to date with relevant technical developments allowing him to advise his clients on a timely basis.
