H-J started with DSH in 2010. Her role has grown and expanded in line with our acquisitions and until recently she was Senior HR Manager & Senior HR Consultant, managing a team and dealing with internal HR a large number of our offices in the South East of England as well as providing advice to clients. H-J is now a director, heading up the external HR offering to our clients.
As a fully qualified member of the CIPD, H-J has a diverse and growing portfolio, ranging from owner managed firms, to SMEs and UK subsidiaries of international companies. H-J’s sector experience is broad, as she has worked internally for a number of organisations as well as externally for a large number of clients. H-J adapts well to new industries and sectors and is well aware that one size does not fit all.
H-J prides herself in going and above and beyond to exceed expectations. She enjoys the challenge of really getting to know a new client and being able to deliver the best possible service to them, whether that be on an ongoing retained basis or for a one-off assignment. H-J focuses on building close working relationships with her clients in order to gain a true understanding of their business, what they need, how they need it and indeed when they need it. She is happy in a strategic role but she is also able to demonstrate a very ‘hands on’ approach when required. H-J ensures her clients have a balanced view of HR and is always keen to demonstrate the positives that good HR can bring to her clients.
Outside of the office, H-J runs her local Brownie unit and is actively involved in life in the village where she lives with her husband. She is an amateur runner, loves rock music and enjoys travelling. She also has a keen interest in WW2 aeroplanes, is a lifetime member of the Sally B supporter’s club and has even been known to take to the skies in a spitfire!
