David is the Regional CEO of our South West offices. David works within our national Forensic Accounting team alongside his established client relationships. He has a detailed working knowledge and experience of non-executive directorships, involving strategic analysis, organisational change and leadership, all in the pursuit of achieving client aims and objectives.
David was a founding director of KTS Owens Thomas a leading Welsh accountancy, taxation and business advisory firm. David has experience in working with business owners in Wales and England, and across many sectors. This has proven invaluable in giving him the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses in Europe, America, Africa and Hong Kong.
He qualified with Ernst & young, and originally specialised in auditing and assurance David now specialises in forensic accounting, pre-sales due diligence and working with clients on their exit strategies. His main focus is on providing strategic solutions to his clients, whatever the discipline.
In his role within Forensics, David works with a highly specialised team that provides services to the legal profession to support civil, criminal and family cases across the UK. This includes:-
• Business and Share Valuations
• Commercial and Contractual Disputes
• Fraud Investigations
• Divorce Proceedings
• Shareholder Disputes
David studied at the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology and he also attended Harvard Business School to study ‘Leading Professional Services Firms’, an experience which has manifested through many aspects of his working career and continued professional learning.
He has also carried out Expert Witness training with Bond Solon and Cardiff University in terms of Civil, Criminal and Family Procedure rules.
In his spare time, David plays lead guitar in tribute bands cranking out covers from the 60’s through to the Naughties and even some more recent, although much of his album collection is still on vinyl!
